About the project

Three partners from three European countries (Slovenia, Germany, and Austria) started working together in 2010 within the framework of a Grundtvig learning partnership. The objective of the partnership was to develop a concept of how younger people can support senior citizens in using the web 2.0.

The seniors should learn about how to use the internet, especially in order to make use of social networks, blogs, Wikipedia, and digital picture and film platforms. In the course of the project, the seniors were supposed to learn how to create digital products (Facebook profile, blog entries etc.) on their own.

Every partner country has written a concept for a workshop and then conducted a pilot workshop. After conducting the national workshops, the partners met again in order to exchange their findings. The most important result of the partnership is a jointly written guideline which should help other organizations to conduct similar courses as well.
